Goals

Well I am back after the holidays. We had a wonderful Christmas and I did not gain any weight!!! YEAH!!! I am really excited about sharing some wonderful recipes and tips for you! Be sure to email me or blog me if you have any requests or questions.

After struggling with my weight for the last year (after loosing 65 lbs since my "diet" and almost 100 lbs from just clean eating) I decided to go for RNY. I met with my doctor just before Chistmas, and he wanted me to lose another 5-10 lbs before surgery. I assume this is a commitment test, since I've already got my liver down to a more normal size. Thing is, I hadn't been able to budge in months.

The upshot of all this is that I decided to do the slimfast diet using Lean Cuisine frozens for dinner to try to get a rapid loss over the next couple weeks

But it's not turning out that way.

First off, I hate the idea of putting all the garbage in my body. I prefer to eat cleaner foods, but now am compromising that for what I'd hoped would be a quick loss. The Slimfast makes me ill, the Lean Cuisine has about 24%RDA sodium in each meal, and I haven't lost a pound in the last week.

If I could afford to replace this month's food I would. This was probably the stupidest and most ill advised thing I've done.
